Qantas Frequent Flyer Members Can Now USE Their Points to Book a Luxury Escapes Holiday

From today, Qantas Frequent Flyer members can use their Qantas Points to book a holiday outright or put them towards a handpicked holiday from Australian online travel company, Luxury Escapes.

This announcement follows the news in February 2018 that Qantas Frequent Flyer members could earn Qantas Points when booking an eligible holiday through Luxury Escapes.

Qantas Frequent Flyer members can make their Luxury Escapes holiday more affordable by using 4,000 Qantas Points for $20 off their booking. Members will continue to earn one Qantas Point per dollar spent on the total amount of their booking, even when they use Qantas Points.

Luxury Escapes General Manager, Blake Hutchison, said Luxury Escapes was delighted to join Rockpool Dining Group and HOYTS to provide Qantas Frequent Flyer members with popular ways to redeem their points.

“We are delighted to offer Qantas Frequent Flyer members the opportunity to redeem points to book a Luxury Escapes holiday outright or, in-effect, ‘upgrade’ their Luxury Escapes travel experience by using their Qantas Points,” Mr Hutchison said.

“We expect many of our members will jump at the opportunity to use a combination of a traditional payment along with Qantas Points to upgrade their room from perhaps a pool-view to

a beach-front view, or even extend the length of their holiday.”

Mr Hutchison said the initial response to the initial partnership Luxury Escape and Qantas had been very strong.

“In less than four months we’ve seen tens of thousands of Australians link their Qantas Frequent Flyer and Luxury Escapes accounts so they can start to earn Qantas Points when they travel with us. Today’s announcement offers our customers an even more rewarding travel experience and we’re excited to see how our members respond.”

Qantas Loyalty Executive Manager Commercial David Young said: “We know Qantas Frequent Flyer members like to use their Qantas Points to treat themselves so this gives them a new opportunity to book a more luxurious room or resort or enjoy a longer stay.

”Making a holiday more affordable is at the top of the travel wish list for many of our members so we expect it to be a popular new way to use points.”

To take up this opportunity, Australians simply need to add their Qantas Frequent Flyer number to their Luxury Escapes account.
