That’s a Wrap! LE on Tour Visits 11 Cities in 21 Days
Luxury Escapes’ most ambitious LE on Tour roadshow to date has concluded.
Between 7 - 24 October, 13 Luxury Escapes staff members took to the road to meet Luxury Escapes customers in 11 cities over the course of 12 events. The 21-day roadshow took the team to Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra and Hobart plus Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand.
“The LE On Tour AU/NZ roadshow went beyond just the events and tied in content, social media and email marketing to allow our consumers to engage with our brand on a personal level across several platforms,” explains Rithi Gupta, Events Marketing Manager for Luxury Escapes. “As a business with our roots in eCommerce, events marketing initiatives like this are instrumental as we look to strengthen our relationship with existing and potential customers.”
Whilst Luxury Escapes has held several LE on Tour roadshows since April 2017 across mainland Australia, this is the most extensive non-stop roadshow to date and the first to incorporate Tasmania and New Zealand. The full marketing campaign incorporated supporting social media, content and email marketing.
Approximately 2,000 Luxury Escapes customers were given the opportunity to meet the people behind the brand, hear about new hotel partners, understand industry trends and interact with the Luxury Escapes team, who were on hand to assist guests with booking deals at the end of each show. Those who were not able to attend the events in person could join in the fun via the LE On Tour Facebook group and access exclusive deals and behind-the-scenes footage.
A total of $637,000 worth of cash vouchers and prizes were awarded across the course of the 12 fun-filled events.
The roadshow was supported by tourism partners Visit Indonesia Tourism Office, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and Dubai Tourism. Representatives presented destination-specific features, hosted booths, engaged guests with travel trivia and awarded prizes to their destinations.
The most popular deals at the events were for domestic properties within Australia and New Zealand alongside Aussie holiday favourites Thailand and Bali, but interest in offers in destinations such as Hong Kong, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Malaysia show the growing appetite of the Luxury Escapes customer for more exotic locales.
